You're right. "Sewn up" was a little too strong. I guess my point was more that there are many of those types of amps out there that do what they do well, and for Peavey to try that market would be expensive and difficult. They are pretty much a maker of mass produced, reasonable quality products that the younger player can use until they're ready to move up. My last Peavey amp was a Classic 50/410 I paid $535 for new. It was not a bad amp at all, but it only sold for $310 in really good condition. I don't know how well they do with their 5150 series, but I would guess it's a good way for someone on a limited budget to get into Marshall/Mesa territory tone wise without having to break ther personal bank. I suppose that's Peavey's "pro" amp, but it's still a mass produced circuit board amp. That's their manufacturing process and MO.
