John Fisher | Re: Soldering to Pickup Windings when I tried putting a match or lighter to some #42 gauge wire it just melted as it,s so thin. I like the idea of submerging it first in solder to char the enamal and then with some very fine sandpaper gently sanding it as discribed above. The lighter works best with thicker wire. |
