Kinda makes one wonder if the old Sovtek 6V6 would work decent at the "textbook" ratings. My JTM4.5 runs a SE 6V6 at 310V(with a 5AR4 or 290V with 5Z4) and it breaks up earlier and sounds warmer than my previous BF Champ attempt which ran the 6V6 at 400V. Lower voltages can be a good thing. Ok, enough rambling from me. Just my $.01 Corwin
