Oops! Careful with that filament wire

Shea	Oops! Careful with that filament wire I just said I like solid wire for filaments. Well, in the last two days, I burned up solid wire twice trying to use it for filaments. I replaced it with stranded wire, and it's holding up just fine, not even warm. Both are 18 gauge. I don't know if the problem with the first wire was the solid core, or some other problem.     Shea
