Octave Effect - Which one to build?

Octave Effect - Which one to build?
I would like to build an octave pedal but am not sure which one to go with. I've looked at a few different layouts but I want a clean octave without fuzz/distortion.  
 
 
 
Has anyone tried or can comment on the MOS Doubler on RG Keen's site? Any other recommended units?
