Re: Best Deal on Punches??
Isn't PAM the crap you put on frying pans, to prevent food from sticking ? (G) Must smell like Emeril's kitchen when the amp heats up ! I'd avoid anything like this. I remember learning how flamable WD-40 was, when I saw a friend spray it into the motor of a squeeky electric drill motor, and the brushes lit it on fire ! This is almost a scary as Cesar Diaz's suggestion to use gummout on tube sockets in the old GT books. Lets not forget the carcinogenic properties of all if this stuff too.

But seriously folks.....If you use an oversized hole, and mount the socket with 440 screws, through small grommets (in the socket mounting holes), the silicon is not needed. Even if you use silicone, a single edge razor or sharp putty knife can get rid of it fairly easy. af
