Hi there,
I finally fixed all problems in my Dumple mongrel. The channel switching is now working as it should (three 6 V relays), and the sound is awsome. I used 470 Ohm resistors for the LEDs and that helped to get rid of my unsteady 6V DC problems. Right now I have between 7-7.9 V on the relays (installed one diode after the full wave recitifier to drop some 0.7 V. I could have gone down a bit more, but my data sheet for the relay says that 3.5 - 11.9 V can be used, so 7 - 8 V is not bad! All in all this project was very exciting and I learned a lot of stuff. I must admit, that I am not too happy with the layout, since it is crowded inside the amp. But I don't have problems with oscillation or a bad hum. I would do a lot of things different the next time, but I doubt I would do a 4 channel preamp again. I would be more than happy with just the skyliner channel and output section in a combo. I have already some plans on another project that would take me back to a more accurate rendition of the humble thing. The idea would be to built the skyliner and only add reverb so that this effect would be onboard. I usually don't use any other FX.

I want to expres my thanks to Gil Ayan, Steve Aloha, Dave H. Don S. and all the others for sharing their experience with me.

This is a great board!!!

Dominik
