| AMZ | Re: Gustav rant >>Plus what's up with Jack being so sensistive about PCB What??!?! I think if you read some of my recent postings you'll see that I have encouraged everyone to make all the pc boards they want for personal use, make their own board layouts and post them, or otherwise use my designs and information as long as they give it freely back to the fx community and give credit to the source. I only object to SELLING boards or the information. Make all you want and GIVE them to your friends to use, just don't make a business out of it. Is that too much to ask? How is this different from where you said: "Also I am holding back more and more because of things like sustain punch etc. someone getting alot of knowage here and then not giving any credit (IMO not giving credit is a very bad thing that will come back to haunt a person)"? Don't believe postings where people are putting words in my mouth or misquoting me. If I have an objection or comment, I know how to speak for myself and am not bashful about it. >>The Dr. Quack right after the write up by Mark Hammer. WTF? Go over to Aron's board and scroll back about 15 pages to the postings from early January where I posted info on the D-Q op-amp and using a buffer to drive it (the basis of my Dr. Quack mods). I do believe that pre-dates Mark's information by a couple of months (no reflection on Mark nor his contributions - I don't believe our mods are even similar). I also went to the trouble to pull out my old E-H box and verify the circuit and components because of questions that several people had about it, then posted those findings. Sometimes I do prepare drawings or articles in response to postings or questions on the various message boards - R.G. does the same and it sounds like a damn convenient service that we provide. I would like to see more original contributions from other sources. I've given a sh*tload of free information to fx hobbiests and haven't held back any information except in preparation for the next article or design. Maybe I should be charging for that service, but for now, you are free to visit the site or not, it's your choice. regards, Jack |
