jb | I have a dream! Long story , short, I just returned for a week long symposium in Nashville put on by A.S.I.A. (Association of Stringed Instrument Artisans) The topics covered went from general set up to inlay courses and every thing in between and I mean everything! Got me to thinking, how nice it would be to have a symposium that dealt with tube amps. Cabinet construction, coverings, tweaking tips, tools of the trade, tubes old and new, and the evening jams would be totaly awsome I'm sure. (and think of all the home brew amps you could hear at one time!) Seems there is plenty of talent here to go a few days of info sharing! It was really cool to see experienced guitar builders see and hear different ways of doing what they had been doing for years, only to find a quicker maybe easier way of doing it. And to most of these guys, time is money. Anyway, it is just an idea or a dream if you will. Thanks for listening. jb |
