Bird Dog, I ran the same question by a pro-tech...he told me that he has actually installed 6550's into MANY twin reverbs w/ NO PROBLEMS...hmmm...I believe that 6550's draw even more current than el34's... strange...but anyway, I appreciate the response...Frank.
