CraigD	Valve Tones I'm new to valve amplifiers and am a little curious. I have noticed most fender style and high gain amps tend to favour 6L6 type tubes, whereas marshalls tend to use EL34's. Can anyone explain the differences in tone between the common power tubes? ie why choose a 6L6 over an EL34 (or vice-versa)or 5881 or 6550. Also, what is the tonal difference between a 6V6 and EL84?
