| John | Re: Homebrew Cabs One thing I haven't seen anywhere but in the old Valcos is combining different speaker sizes in cabinets. I wasn't necessarily thinking about crossovers and the like, but it would seem you would get the best of each size. Or would you end up magnifying the weakness of each size? Why use different size speakers in different cabinets? For example, take a typical bass rig running a 1x15 and a 4x10, now it's easy for me to see the advantages of having smaller things to move, store, and gig with, but is there anything wrong with say a 15" and two ten inchers? What about combining 10s and 12s? Has anyone ever done this? |
