MKLearner Question
I'm new at the mathematics end of tube electronics
but I'm trying to pick up the basics bit by bit. I
am curious how one computes the peak-to-peak output
voltage for a phase inverter stage in an amplifier,
or the voltage output of any stage for that matter.
I've seen the following formulas on various websites:

Av = (mu*R1)/(R1/ra) where mu=amplification factor,
R1=plate load and ra=plate resistance.

Vout(RMS)=Vpeak*0.707 and Vpeak=(Vp-p)/2

I know Ohm's law and the companion power formula
and a bunch of other tidbits from sites by Randall
Aiken and Steve Bench. I'm learning to draw load
lines and the like but I'm still wondering if I'm
missing some simple basic formula for figuring out
the output voltage of a given stage, especially a
phase inverter stage.
Easy EX. How would I figure out the p-p output
voltage on a 5F6-A Fender Bassman schematic? How
about the output voltage of the preceding 1/2
12AX7 stage?
Thanks for any advice. I DO plan on picking up real
tube electronic books soon but I really want to see
just how much info I can learn on the Internet
alone. Thanks.
