But it seems to make sense that this would work, since the 6V6 is roughly twice the output impedence of the 6L6, Ohm's law, loosely applied, when you put 2(pairs) in series would halve the impedence. That would match your 4K primary. Does this make sense?-feel free to correct me. It sounds like a fun project-I've heard a 4 6V6 amp, it sounded amazing, though not very loud-about the same as a Bandmaster. Like a miniature twin! |
