Fj	Re: What is 'Solid Pine' ? laminated wood (or plywood), will provide longer-lasting, non-warping characteristics for a speaker enclosure...where as solid woods can have a tendency to warp with changes in humidity, tempeature, etc..I very strongly try to avoid particle-board (aka. "chip-board") for when that gets wet, it mushrooms out like a flat, dry sponge being soaked with water...hope this helps...Frank.
