There are a few tweaks to the cct. to make it nice and fuzzy, but to start with, make sure you're using higher-gain NPN transistors. One other thing - try bypassing the emitter of the second transistor with a cap. I use 22uf but anything should work. Without the bypass cap, the second transistor doesn't let too much low end thru.
