JTM-45 Questions

NathanJTM-45 Questions
I have an old JTM-45 that does not work. It is both cosmetically and functionally destroyed. I would like to make a project of this amp to try and restore it to the best of my abilities [I wish I had the resources to just send it out to our host, Victor. But I do not- Didn't even ask for a quote. -I'd like to try doing the work myself... Trust me, I can't hurt this amp any more than it already it (not from me)]
So, here are some Q's that would really help a lot:
1. Selenium Rectifiers. I would like to replace the selenium rectifier and not with a diode. Does anyone know the value associated with this piece? Any idea where I can buy a direct replacement?
2. What gauge hookup wire was used in Marshalls?
3. Does the brand of Pots matter?
4. What was the power resistor that ran from the first output tube to the circuit board?
5. Should I bus the grounds, or use a star ground method?
Thanks in advance for any help.
[I've been studying the Michael Doyle book and my 5F6A layout diagram]
Regards,
Nathan
