Those Sovtek 12AX7WXT+ tubes just seem to pop a lot. There's nothing wrong with your preamp circuit. It bugs me too. I'm hoping the newer Sovtek 12AX7LPS (long plate) will be quieter -- I'm planning to try some out soon.
