Newbie capacitor question

Paul	Newbie capacitor question Hello guys: I've been learning about amplifiers and feel I'm ready to start getting my hands dirty. I have a busted vibrochamp that smoked the electrolytic cap going to pin 8 of the 6v6 (cathode?). The old ones are obviously polarized, the + and- are a dead giveaway. The new ones have an arrow pointing in one direction. Are they polarized? Do they have to be Is the arrow pointing to + or -? I've tried every electronics book I have, They are no help at all.
