| Leo | Jensen P15r Well, bucking the sound advice given by all of you, I opted for a real vintage Jensen p15r (rated for 14 watts, but I figured I was getting 18 from my Pro clone). This is what happened. I connected the Jensen. I turned on my amp. I smacked a nice overdriven chord or two, sounded real nice! Then after 15 seconds, it fizzled out and died. No sound at all. Instead, the OT itself made little tinny noises, suggesting something serious was up. I connected my old speaker, and the sound came back. I'm returning the speaker to the seller immediately, but I'd like to know what happened. Was the voice coil shorted? Leo |
