Tailpiece	Weird Tubes I've got these strange tubes, 8417 that take 700 volts. What are they supposed to sound like? 6V6, 6L6, EL34, what? I have seen some old Gibson amps from the 60's that used them, but most of the amps I can find which used them were hi-fi. Would they be good for a homebrew project to make an amp? I have two quartets and they all say Bogen with Sylvania in smaller letters underneath. They also test brand new on my Sencore Mighty Mite. How long do they usually last?
