I brought up the marshall reference because I think the 100's are actually a cleaner amp than most believe. Although I must admit I've never been in a position to use one flat out! They were designed in a time when players needed to be heard in larger venues, later they were revered for there break up, and of course they now provide amp people a great topic to ponder.
