Jim S. | Re: Quad vs. two matched pairs Put pair A in sockets 1&4 and pair B in sockets 2&3. (In a four-tube push-pull circuit the tubes in sockets 1&2 "push" while the tubes in sockets 3&4 "pull" (or vice-versa).) Putting the tubes in this way ensures the pushes and pulls are balanced. |
