newbie question: How to Current limit?

| BB | newbie question: How to Current limit? My dumb question is: How do you current limit a variable DC power supply. I was told you select the voltage you want then ( turn power off) short the positive and negative terminals. turn on the power supply and adjust current..quickly.. Is this right? or should I short the positive terminal and ground terminal, does it matter, or what is the preferred way. Trying not to get hurt...while learning about this neat stuff! |
