fj	Re: Removing Tolex I've done this on a pair of BF FENDER TWINS & an older MARSHALL 4X12 cab...I clamped the cabinets to my shop-bench...CAREFULLY used my BELT-SANDER to (layer-at-a-time) remove the bumpy blackish glue residue...FINISHING SANDER for edges & corners...B careful w / belt-sander...it WILL CUT IN if you're not carefull...BTW... I did try laquer thinner (solvents...etc...) which will take you forever...(and make you "high" at the same time!...Hope that helps!...Frank
