I would guess that perhaps the tone is from the Marshall cab he was playing thru? Perhaps that gave it the overtones you like. Everything I've read is that the SSS is clean, clean, 150 watts of clean I don't know about the dry tone, with that delay on everything I really couldn't get a feel for the tone. Did sound phenominal when he kicked on the fuzzes. Actually that damn tape makes me not want to pick up my git. be
