Tube Question?

Benaminz	Tube Question? I've got an old Ampeg V-4B that I picked up a coulpe of weeks ago. It sounds really sweet at low and moderate volume levels, but when I turn up to play with the guys in the band, it starts to distort. My first thought was my cabinet, but I plugged the head into the PA cabinet, and it did the same. Does this mean the tubes need replacing, or could it be something else? Thanks for any info Ben
