DIY Preamp ideas?

Michael	DIY Preamp ideas? Hello all, I have decided to make a DIY project out of a salvaged Bandmaster Reverb chassis. My thought is this: Don't install a channel switching circuit. Instead, have separate inputs, switched by an A/B box. That way I can optimize each stage of each channel for the intended purpose (clean vs. distortion). No shared 1st stage, no compromises. Thoughts, anyone? (No flames about using the chassis, please.) Thanks, Michael
