Re: HELP - I'm trying to learn! Books on tubes?
Both public and university libraries have many tube era books. Public libraries in large cities often have lots of stuff from the 1920s-1950s. Some even have Sams schematics and Rider manuals including the PA service schematics. Last time I was at a major and older university with an electronic engineering department the library holdings were incredible. I was completely overwhelmed by the number of tube era books. These books are not necessarily about GUITAR AMPS but they are full of useful information. Want to know how to use an oscilloscope? My library has 15 books on the subject. Public library cards are free, books can often be interlibrary loaned if they are not available. Public librarians are a lot nicer than the ones you encountered in your public school.
