I know the ST-70 isn't reference quality. But, it's a fairly common amp with a wealth of information available and mods to try and I feel it will be a great amp to start with in tube HiFi (I'm slowly learning tube amp mechanics). Besides it's going to be used as a bedroom amp in place of the rack stereo system I have now, I'm just looking for something to play CD's off of. I have a full digital-dolby/DTS home theater system, blah, blah, blah in the living room. I've printed out all your posts (along with manuals, schematics, etc. from the web) and will work my way through the amp making sure all as should be. Thanks, -Y.
