| Terry | Re: HELP - I'm trying to learn! Books on tubes? I agree with Greg and I have those books as well, except the Morgan Jones book but may buy it soon. I believe Barnes and Nobles has it on their shelf. Also, if you have a Barnes and Nobles nearby, check them out as they do have several books on amps and such. That way you get a "hands on" before purchasing. Antique Electonics (Tubesandmore?) has about the most complete list of books available last time I checked. You are apt to gain something from each book. Also Amazon.com probably has several. If ordering by mail I'd pick Antique first. Their price on the Morgan Jones book is about ten dollars less than Barnes and Nobles but you've got shipping, so I was going to wait till I ordered some parts as well. Good luck and fully understand the danger of the voltages inside tube amps (even after turned off!) before attempting any project, repairs, etc. Terry |
