| MikeZ | PA - Mixer to Amp Level... Our band is having a problem with our practice PA. we have a Carvin DCM 1000W amp and we are using a Tascam Portastudio 414 4 track recorder as our mixing board. we arent getting enough volume (definitely NOT a 1000W worth) even just for vocals. Could it be the mixing board doesnt put out a strong enough signal to the amp? we have it plugged into what is called the "line outputs" on the board. any ideas on how to boost that line signal coming from the board without buying a new mixing board?? i was thinking buying a cheap 40 mixer just to amplifly each side of the stereo signal between the board and the amp. any comments/suggestions?? |
