Nic,
Maybe setting the neck at an angle a la Gibson and other tuneomatic bridge using guitars might work. Not sure what angle you'd need, but it should do the trick unless the biscuit bridges are much higher action and then you'd be playing with the neck at 90 degrees, hehe. :-D
