| previous: JWK Partscaster and Bardens - Dead "E" strings -- 7/16/2000 3:25 AM |
| JWK | The latest from Warmoth... I can ship my guitar to them and they have some panel of experts look at it to make sure they haven't done anything wrong mechanically (drilled holes in the wrong spot, faulty bridge, etc.). When they determine they have done nothing wrong they ship it back to you and give you the bill. I understand how Warmoth cannot be held responsible for tone. It is too subjective and impossible to draw a line anywhere. On the other hand, these are the guys that tell you on the phone how superior their products are to Fender, and how great your guitar is going to sound. Yes, they did tell me that. Now I have a guitar that is unusable due to two dead E strings, and Rob tells me, "We can't be responsible for a bad marriage between two pieces of wood. I've *even* seen this on Fender." Nice turn around. I just spent over seven hundred dollars on a guitar I can't use, and I don't even know what I can do to fix it. Thanks for letting me rant. John |
