| Charlie | Nut compensation Does anyone know if the major manufacturers are shaving approx. 1/32" off the nut end of the fingerboard to compensate for the string length vs. scale length. I am in the process of building four necks and am considering this procedure. I don't have access to any relatively current guitars to check this out. I know there are several after market items such the earvana nut and Buzz Fietens system, but I am looking for something less complicated. Thanx in advance for any opinions. Charlie |
