| Cole | Re: pots in reverse? I've got my Strat setup like this. One pot (250k) controls the volume of the neck and bridge pickups, and one pot (250k) controls the volume of the middle pickup. The other pot is a global tone control. The pickup selector switch gives either neck, neck and bridge, or bridge only - you can fade in any amount of middle with the middle volume knob. How does it sound? The taper is radical when mixing in the middle pickup (it's more of an on/off thing, covering 2 notches on the knob) but I never noticed a different tone-wise from the standard wiper output wiring. I re-wired the guitar from a layout in a magazine and only realized the changed pot output when I went to add 250pf brightness caps! |
