For comparison I had Seymour Duncans Vintage Staggered Strat, Fender American Standard, Dimarzio Virtual Vintage and finally Kinman Avn56. Ranking tone-wise: 1)Kinman Avn56. 2)Fender American Standard 3)Seymour Duncans Vintage Staggered Strat 4)Dimarzio Virtual Vintage 5)Keystone K-280 by William Lawrence The K280 had by far the best hum suppression, strong magnet pull and were pretty loud. They use steel pole pieces that extend through 2 stacked coils. Between the coils, ceramic magnets are attached. I'm not aware about the difference between the Keystone K280 and the current D280. |
