It was also not cheap. Dano will send you a new replacement for a defective bridge, but will not allow you to upgrade to the better bridges they use on the upscale models, which is both frustrating and (IMHO)a bad move on the customer service side. The original bridges (like many of the overseas metal products) simply stinks. I've seen old Danos with Gibson (Badass) style bridge tailpieces and you could certainly use a Hardtail strat bridge as well. I would just make sure you have enough wood underneath to mount it.
