I'm wondering if you remember where you saw reference to wood pickguards for Teles. I've got a project Tele that's hollowed out under the pickguard, with neck humbucker, and it really needs a wood guard to help create a good tone chamber. I'm figuring on making one out of 1/8" maple, but if there's a decent alternative...
