I have since put Kinmans in another strat without the Atchely mod and it is DEAD quiet whereas my main strat with Kinmans and the Atcheley mod has some noise in a high gain situation.It would seem to me that the single coil noise represents 95% of the bothersome noise and adequate shielding the other 5%. There must be some wierdness with grounding when Kinmans are used with the Atchely mod.
