Larry | Re: Building a Tele from parts Don't get scared off by the potential pitfalls! I started assembling guitars from parts a year ago, and have also built several from scratch at this point. Simple fact-it's NOT that hard. As a matter of fact, I just assembled a "Telebastard" from Stew-Mac parts. (The shop isn't well heated, and Chicago winters can be tough. So the scratch building will wait 'til spring.) Turned out fine, and sounds really awesome. Most importantly, it sounds just how I wanted it to sound. That's hard to find in a factory guitar. Buy Melvyn Hiscock's book and have at it! Larry |
