Stew-Mac neck jig, how is it used??

Pascal	Stew-Mac neck jig, how is it used?? I have an oldie Kay that I've been refurbishing slowly but surely, and this summer I plan on doing the refret (now thats planning ahead!!). I'm interested in the stew mac neck jig, I don't plan on buying one, but a "non-professional" quality jig could easily be built. I was just wondering how exactly it is used and what is the proper way to set the guitar on it (by this I mean how do you adjust the thing, neck perfectly straight or curved slightly as if the strins were still pulling on it)... this will be helpful for figuring out how I will build mine. Thanks in advance.
