Re: pickups used on vintage SG's (PAF's?)
Lot of questions now...

I have been searching for info on the net.
What I'm looking for is for what it is called PAF's humbuckers. They're expensive:(

Q1.: How could they be "alnicos" if there where no visible pole pieces, just six bolt nuts?

Q2.: About what year did they have to be manufactured to be considered real PAF's (and deliver "that" tone?)

Q3.: If the new made '57 Classic Gibson HB's are "exact" replicas, even if the alnico is not naturaly aged, I presume they must sound nicely. Similar in difference like between pu's in an American Standard and older alnico start pickups, I guess. Am I right?
