I have seen the red reid coil cutter on the tone control  
 
very cool and usefull, I have the scem somewhere  
 
I would use 500k pots  
 
coil cuts on humbucking pick-ups are great  
 
I have found it to be the best sounding mod  
 
on a 4 conducter pick-up and very usefull
