The right way to do it is to wire up the BLACK lead to the fuse and then the on/off switch (and there is a right and wrong way to do the fuse!) and then to the power transformer primary. The WHITE wire goes straight to the power transformer primary. The GREEN wire goes to a solder lug mounted on one of the power transformer mounting bolts. End of story, unless you want neat ideas on what to do with the ground switch.
