Re: Cleaning chassis
My dad services band instruments, and was mentioning that the most amazing cleaning he's seen, is done with an ultrasonic cleaning machine and a mild detergent, like a Simple Green or Dishwashing liquid. Jewelers use this, but larger ones are used in many other fields. I would suggest (again the amp model would help) a complete "strip and dip". If you can't find someone with a machine, brillo and a slop sink works on the old Fenders I often "Degrunge". I would avoid Trichloretheline due to carcenogens. They stopped selling this crap for a reason! AF
