(again) Well.. 2 things you could do..borrow another head..see if it cuts out like you describe.. or borrow a different speaker cab and play the ampeg through it..You say the harke is a combo..where does the click you hear come from? the head or cabnet?.. you put in the new speaker..are the leads straigt off the speaker?. and not any other wires off it going into the harke??when you use the ampeg and the harke cab for the speaker..? Sounds like some kinda relay overload clicking..or some amps have a triac.. that may be going out on the power.. give us any details you can how you have this wired up.. a different speaker cable?
