Re: Silverface Vibrolux motorboating ?
Thanks for your input Richie. This is the order I did everything in. First, I recieved the amp from a dealer on tuesday, tested it a low to medium volume for about an hour, no motorboating. Second, I blacfaced and recaped it. Tested it at low and high volumes sounded great, no motorboating. Then I installed a switching pot on the intensity control to disconnect the trem, for a optional gain boost. When I tested that, it motorboated at all settings. So I put it back to stock and now it motorboats at high volume, or when any extra gain is introduced. I'm going to check all grounds tonight. Is there an easy way to check coupling and or bypass caps in place ? Voltage checking maybe ? Thanks for everyones help. JCS
