| Richie | Re: Bad smell volume loss in Bandmaster These are good replies.. i'd also check to be sure the right size fuse is in the amp.You just have to do as the other posts say.. open it up and look for any bad or burnt parts.. see if there might be some waxy looing stuff that ooooozed from the transformers.. it could be anything from wires burning.. socket arcing .. resistors,etc. And may measure the OT resistence... Could have overheated a tube etc. OOOO the smell of a burnt OT is usually one you don't forget.Also look under the cap..pan if there is any caps gone bad. Usually a burnt OT will still smell if you get close enough to sniff it.. Richie[~]==::: |
