Laney VC50 Trouble

Laney VC50 Trouble
I'm having a problem with my Laney VC50.
This model is a "four"-channel amp (i.e. two channels with separate eq's and an extra gain stage each).
The problem is that when I switch to the drive stage on channel B (the "dirty" channel) it sounds really bad. It kind of squeals in a weird way. This happens as soon as it gets a bit of signal from my guitar. With no signal from the guitar, it's quiet. But as soon as I give it some signal it squeals, and it doesn't stop squealing even if I mute the strings.
This squealing noice seems to be dependant of the volume of the preamp too. With the volume set low (really low - at about 1-2) its quiet (doesn't sound bad).
I've changed the tubes, but the noice won't go away...
Since you guys seem to know a lot about amps, I was hoping someone could tell me what is wrong with the amp, and maybe tell me how to fix it.

Thanks in advance!
